Eating the pho there on the spot was better. Soup broth came out extra piping hot. Everyone was nice and the food came out super fast. I would def come here again for my pho cravings. I would recommend the Vietnamese coffee but skip on the lemonade soda as it's literally just lemonade carbonated lol. I was expecting pickled lemonade soda type of thing.

Amazing pho with top quality ingredients. I ordered a build your own with 3 ingredients- brisket, steak, and tripe. The pieces of steak that came in the soup were the thickest I've seen in a bowl of pho. Super legit! The brisket came perfectly raw and cooked instantly. I didn't notice much if any impurities that would typically float to the top.

Who doesn't love a chance to have HALAL pho?! Edison is so lucky! Never had pho before but was grateful to try it as takeout. Fresh bean sprouts, soft noodles and rare steak

I have tried a Pho with Kimchi here. Taste of Pho was good. but Kimchi was terrible. I think they have to serve fresh one. It was $3. not worth it or they have to serve it by free. Employees were kind. and general noodle restaurant ambiance.

This was my first time having Pho and it was very delicious. The restaurant is in the strip mall near the Asian market. The space is not huge and it got packed pretty quickly but they make great use of their space. The staff were very attentive and polite. The Pho selection seemed limited but as a first timer, it's great to not feel overwhelmed by a menu. The food came very quickly. Everything was quite flavorful. I'll be back to try a different Pho combination.

When the owner and head chef comes out of the kitchen to teach you how to properly eat a spring roll (for the record, to be wrapped on the outside with lettuce and cilantro) you know you've found a place that is authentic and a home. Incredibly attentive service and a very cool, modern take on traditional decor, The Pho Spot is the only place I wanna eat Vietnamese food in New Jersey. Let's talk about apps first because they're the winners. You can't leave without trying the mini crepes. A somewhat sweet batter bowl holds shrimp and fresh greens; with the sweet vinegar on top, it's perfection. You can't go wrong with either the spring or summer rolls. Definitely get both. Now for the eponymous Pho - the broth is subtle, rich, and so filling. One bowl is good enough for two people for sure. I love all the available options, from the ubiquitous brisket, tendon, rare steak to the more exotic quail eggs. I also don't typically see so many veggie options, but really loved the idea of putting bok choy or mushrooms in my soup. Much love to the crew for catering to the Muslim and vegetarian communities in the area

Hands down the most flavorful and delicious Pho I have ever had. On top of the great food, their staff is super calm and welcoming. Also the restaurant looks small from the outside, but it's pretty big from the inside. It can easily seat multiple families. They have a build your own pho option in which customers can select their choice of proteins, the soup base and the veggies. I'd recommend getting their beef broth! I'm looking forward to my next visit here. :)

Very nice restaurant, but be careful, the address on Yelp and other sources is incorrect. Takes you to some apartment complex. Place is on a strip mall next to 99 Ranch. Family of four had eggs rolls, Vietnamese crepe and kimchi, and then four bowls of Pho. Egg rolls wrapped in lettuce and cilantro with a dipping sauce was very nice. Vietnamese crepe w shrimp was large and nicely crispy with shrimp, sprouts and cilantro and green onion. Cut up into small segments and could be a great app for 4-6 people. The four metal bowls with beef Pho were hot and lots of noodles and sprouts. Equivalent to a large size at most Pho places. Plenty of protein, but could make a vegetarian Pho if so desired. The menu is limited though, so appetizers and Pho have to be what you are looking for. Staff were attentive. Carafe w cold water and 4 metal cups was great. We shared two Vietnamese coffees. Our go to place for Pho now.

Atmosphere: 5 The vibe here is awesome. Lots of sitting options and they can definitely handle bigger parties. We were seated at the booth and there were hooks where we can hang our clothes. Love that little detail. The menu is easy to understand and I love the ability to customize my pho. The wait staff were really friendly and cheerful. It definitely helped set a nice vibe for dinner! Portions: 5 The bowl of pho is huge and has tons of ingredients. I appreciate that there were ample amount of the ingredient options I chose. Some pho restaurants load up the bowl with noodles and the ratio of food per bite is off. Flavors: 5 I am obsessed with the broth! Lately, the pho restaurants I've been to tend to have overly sweetened broth. The broth is so flavorful. Not overly salty nor sweet, but still full of flavor. To note: I had the beef broth but they did also have a veggie broth option. I also ordered the spring roll (technically summer roll) and the sauce was really good. I feel like they could have included more ingredients in it and less noodles though. I also had a sip of my husband's Vietnamese coffee and it was very creamy with a nice coffee flavor. Overall, I will most likely go there again and often. Nice atmosphere, and great food! Maybe next time I will try their fried spring roll!

If you're looking for reliable, quality pho in Central New Jersey, The Pho Spot in Edison off of Route 1 would be considered staple. There is an unfounded belief that one can identify a great Vietnamese restaurant for quality food through its name, whether it has a number (i.e. 88) or contains some variety of "An" in the naming convention. While the subscription to this belief is a hit or a miss (I've come to find out through credulous studies [mainly my personal experiences] that it literally splits down the middle, working 50% of the time, all the time). Well, The Pho Spot certainly breaks that mold. The Pho Spot is divey-yet-simple-pleasant-and-enjoyable. The first part of that description comes from the analysis of its outward appearance and simple menu. The Pho Spot is conveniently located off the south bound side of Route 1 in Edison. It sits within the shadows of the bigger, more popular giants such as 99 Ranch and even Yi Fang. It sits back between Seoul Fried Chicken, a salon, and a liquor store - it really is unassuming and can be easily missed if you're not paying attention. As mentioned, the menu is quite simple. Quick caveat to this: I believe there has been some effort in expanding the menu - in addition to the base pho offerings, the restaurant has since added some other common dishes such as Gỏi Cuốn, a variety of vermicelli bowl, and Bún Bò Huế [don't quote me on this last one because I know it can be a game changer for those die hard BBH fans]. The beauty of the menu works off a make-your-own-pho-combination system: a broth type [beef or vegetable], 3 selections of meat, and garnishing add-ons. While this may appear a bit lacking, it really wows and surprises in flavor. Additionally, the flavor is ALWAYS consistent. This is saying a lot because consistent pho broth flavor is hard to find. Not only is the flavor consistent, it is probably the best in the area. Trust me. The other game changer is for those that like a bit of spice in their life. There is a chili pepper add-on that I guarantee is hotter than other Vietnamese restaurants. They must use some super-strain of Thai's Bird Eye or Serrano, whatever it is, it hits and that ish be bussin'. Really the flavor and quality of the food gives this place a 5 stars out of 5. The ambiance is really enjoyable - no blaring music or anything. It really is just a simple, sit-dine-and-enjoy type of establishment. It seems roomy, and from the different times we went, it never felt crowded with enough space to really move around. Yes, they take credit card, and no, there is no minimum charge for credit card use. Again, if you're a "pho purist" and looking for a good bowl, this is the spot [no pun intended].
